NEW CONTEST

Well there is so much fun going on at the BBTB right now that I thought it was time for another fun contest and boy do I have an awesome sponsor this time.....SCARLET LIME. Scarlet Lime is an online company ran by Christy Tomlison which offers awesome monthly kit....her kits bring together all sort of patterns, textures, and styles; mix modern with vintage, funky with chic. Some of you may know Christy from Scrapbooks Etc, Better Homes and Gardens Magazine where she is an Contributing Editor. I personally have been getting monthly kits from Scarlet Lime for about 6 months now.....and I love the kits so much that I have signed up for another 6 months....So what is Scarlet Lime sponsoring for this contest, well one lucky person will get their latest May BUTTERCUP MINI KIT......it is filled with all sorts of fabulous stuff. Here are the pictures of the kit:

You also might want to sign up for SCARLET LIMES newsletter...........the projects in the newsletter are sure to inspire you......You can check out some gallery pictures here.

Okay now for the details of the contest.....

...For this contest, you will need to use one of the following cuts from either the PLANTIN SCHOOLBOOK or the GEORGE CARTRIDGE...pretty much everyone that owns a cricut or an expression should have one or the other of these carts.....

...The cut you need to use is the AND SIGN (AMPERSAND) on page 88 from the GEORGE CART. or page 64 from the PLANTIN SCHOOLBOOK CART.

...You can use this cut ANY WAY YOU LIKE.....layout, card, altered project...etc....

...Previous bbtb winner are welcome to enter.

...Only 2 projects per person.

...Please make sure whatever you enter is your own work.....and/or give credit were credit is due.

...bbtb designers are not allowed to enter the contest.

...Contest will run through May 17th at midnight....Pacific Standard time.

...You also need to make sure you link your project(s) in this thread in the comment section. Also, please make sure your link to your project goes DIRECTLY to your project on your blog, gallery...etc.

...Last requirement......HAVE FUN...

WALK IN MY GARDEN....WINDOW CARD CHALLENGE

First I would like to WELCOME again the new additions to the BUG TEAM..........I will be so excited to see some of your awesome work next week..........

Also I would like to thank Kazan Clark for being our Guest Designer for the month of April...but I am happy to say, that we will all be able to be wowed with her work for the next three months....She is now an official BUG DESIGNER....

Okay for this weeks challenge the designers were asked to use the CARD feature from the WALK IN MY GARDEN cartridge....Basically they could use this cut anyway they like...The cut actually is a little deceiving because it doesn't cut as a folded card, but more like a post card with a window of a cut from any of the cuts on the cartridge....kind of confusing...I know...(smile)..But leave it up to the designers to do a fine job with the designs of the challenge.....

Oh yeah one more thing that I totally forgot, there is a new contest starting today.....you don't want to miss out on entering this contest.....SCARLET LIME is sponsoring a wonderful prize..Click contest for details.

DO YOU WANT TO BE A BBTB DESIGNER

Do you love using your CRICUT or EXPRESSION machine? Well I am looking for a few new people to join our BBTB team. The term would be for 3 months (end of July).
Here is a little bit about being a BBTB DESIGNER:
There is a weekly challenge each week.
You need to try and do at least 2 of them a month.
You need to own at least 10 cartridges...or have access to at least 10
Most of the time you can create any type of project you want.
The COMPENSATION stinks because there isn't any....just pure weekly fun.
You are not eligible to enter any contests....because you would be a judge.....
So if you think you would be interested, please email me 2 projects (any type) that you have done using the Cricut/Expression machines, that you feel best shows your work...The projects can be of work previously done or new.
Also if you have a blog or gallery please email me that information also...

CELEBRATIONS....HAT CHALLENGE

Oh my I have got to great things to tell you all about today.......One being that we have a new Guest Designer for the month of April; Kazan Clark and my on my her work is going to truly inspire you.....Here is a little bit about Kazan:

First off I would just like to say that I am thrilled to be BBTB’s guest designer for April – this is going to be a fun month to create things from our beloved little Bugs. I am a SAH- Mommy to Ashton (almost 4) and Alex (almost 2) and wife to an adoring husband, Kevin. We have been married 10 years (on Valentines Day) and live in beautiful Colorado. Our family is scattered all over the globe, including Canada, Hawaii, South Africa and Dubai – so we do enjoy traveling and visiting exotic places.

I am a relatively new scrapbooker and even newer cardmaker. I started scrapbooking just over 3 years ago when Ashton was born. This year I tried my hand at making cards and I am really getting into it - now I have to be careful that I find a balance between the two so that I stay up to date! My style is forever changing but for the most part I like a simpler clean cut look on my pages and cards. I tend to use a LOT of black - that seems to be my signature. My dream remains to be to be picked up as a designer for a manufacturer or craft company or to get published on a regular basis but until then, I am happy blogging, visiting forums and getting inspiration from all those talented scrappers out there!

WELCOME KAZAN..........We here at the BBTB are so excited to have you as our Guest Designer!

Be sure to check out Kazan's blog.....it is awesome

Okay now for the other great thing, I am not sure if many of you have ever really used that cute little hat cut on page 103 of the Manual from the CELEBRATIONS cartridge, it is by far the cutest cut for birthdays...oooooooo I had so much fun designing with this cut and as you will see the designers had a great time to.......My oh my all of the designs are just adorable.....
