CONTEST TIME....................................

Yes it is CONTEST TIME AGAIN............... I think you all will love our next contest sponsor...
PEGGY LOVES VINTAGE
Peggy sells some of the most stunning vintage images I have ever seen........There is something for everyone in her collections....Here is a little bit about Peggy Loves Vintage:

Hi,

I'm lucky enough to be a retired grandma who spends her day baby sitting grandkids and working with my vintage card collection. My husband and I have shared 34 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids that turn 2 and 5 in May.
.
I started collecting Vintage Greeting Cards quite by accident. I was helping with an Aunt's estate sale and ran across her Vintage Greeting Card collection. The images on the Vintage Cards were so bright and cheerful that I just fell in love with them. I was completely hooked. I'm particularly fond of the old scrapbooks. Some of them contain some truly inspiring stories. I love reading the old letters and the notes written on the backs of the cards.

As my collection grew and provided such joy and entertainment for me, I knew that others would get as much out of them as I did. So I decided I'd share my collection thus, the birth of PeggyLovesVintage.

Each card is carefully scanned at a 600 dpi resolution and saved in .jpg format. All the images as well as the sentiment are scanned. Some of the cards have to be cleaned up because of aging marks. I try to keep this at a minimum because it takes a lot of time to complete plus the aging adds to the vintage feel of the graphic.

I only scan cards that are free of copyright restrictions. I keep each and every card, so if any question ever arises I can provide documentation that this is truly the case.

Special software is not required to use my CD’s. If you’ve ever printed out a picture from a digital camera, it’s pretty much the same concept and just as easy. Just pop the CD into the drive, select an image, print it out, cut it out and attach it to your card, scrapbook page or whatever kind of project you’re working on. Of course if you’re so inclined, and if you do have imaging software, you can clone, cut and paste and even change the colors on the image.

The possibilities are endless, so please take a moment and visit my web site by clicking below or copy and paste the link into your browser. So sit back, relax and enjoy your journey back in time.

Hugs to all

Peggy

Hi Regina...this is going to be a fun challenge, love the vintage cards. Just one question, I guess I thought the contest entries were judged, but I saw on your blog yesterday (somewhere LOL) that the winner(s) is a random pick. Can you clarify? thanks, Kathy

Hi Kathy, yes that has been changed back to being judge, but we will from time to time in the future have just fun challenges where random org will be used....hugs

Just beautiful! The DT is amazing. Just a quick question. We may enter the contest 2 times, may we use each of the vintage cards, or do they need to be the same. Thanks so much! ~Sharon

I am posting again cause at 3am I don't make a lot of sense!! I have uploaded (I hope) my finished version of my diaper Cake entry. I haven't quite got how I can link to my blog but if anyone would like to see all the scrapin I have been doing go to my blog at http://flos-a-scrapin.blogspot.com and take a look.

My appologies to Regina and others I have finally worked out how to link to a photo instead of the whole folder. Everyone is welcome to look at the folder but if you just want to see the finished product the link is finally there.

Help!!! What happened to Mister Linky???

Regina Easter said...

hi kathy, try refreshing your page for the mister linky, it shows up one minute and then the next it's gone, it is an error on their side...sorry about that...regina

Regina,
I was wondering if I did something wrong with Mr. Linky. My link did not work for me when I clicked on it. Does it bring you to my vintage baby project(my blog)? I don't know maybe it was just a glitch? Can you let me know if it works for you? Sorry to bother you.
Thanks,
Jenn

On the 2nd link I left I thought I had it going direct to my blog page where the photo is but it has diverteed to the same link as the first one. Mr Linky does not seem to want to change my link. My entry is at the top of my blog at flos-a-scrapin.blogspot.com
